she made my gown, the whole female entourage, and flower girls's gowns. she has since made a few wedding gowns for friends but weddings is not really her niche. her design style is sort of architectural but feminine. she's president of the young designers guild for the next two years. thanks pats!

inky nakpil made some shoes for via veneto and when i saw the shoes, i fell in love with them. i just had to have them! kahit wala pang dress...

when we went to inquire with pat dy, we found out he was going to be in the US on our wedding. then their graphic artist showed us their work--we were both so impressed. we liked his style, very classy and tasteful. we're both quite conservative in a way, so we were looking for a photographer who wouldn't make us do poses or whatever. anyway, pat offered his partner, david hanson, the photos showed to us were a combination of both their shots. so we booked david. :)

still uses film photography, although he's also switched to digital. but according to him, 50% of his clients still prefer him to use film. he's super nice, very down to earth and unaffected by his status as a famous photographer.

We already had our food tasting and their food was really good. Love their panna cotta and flourless chocolate cake!

He's my sister's friend--does make up for various magazines and also part owner of Marni's Room (branches in Malate & Rockwell).

He did my make up for my graduation from my second course--so i asked for glamorous make-up. I'll schedule a trial with him probably later this year--after I've seen what my sister has made for me. :)

Post-wedding comment: Hay! One of my favorite suppliers! Ang ganda ng make-up ko! My skin looked flawless and lasted through the night without any touch-up. Ni oil blotter (yung blue film) di ko ginamit. Despite the tears I've shed that afternoon and sa reception, buo pa rin ang mukha ko. Super recommended!! Favorite ko rin ang hairsylist nya--Nante Alinghasa, the best!! Thank you fairy hairstyler!

We didn't want to spend so much for video, but at the same time, we still wanted someone who is capable of making a good video and not baduy. Dan's the man. Easy to talk to, arrived early, works quietly.

i ordered our ninang gifts from her--her famous almond rocca. and we also ordered extra dessert--mini cupcakes.

Allan got the engagement ring from the alahero his family knows. Since Mandy wanted a wedding ring with diamonds, they ordered it from him--and he gave a veeerrrrry big discount for it. Allan's wedding band was bought in the US because he wanted a platinum ring--it's much cheaper to get it from there, rather than buying it here.

Brass Munkeys will be providing the entertainment for the post reception program. They perform jump-jive and swing music from the 30's to the 50's.

we got in touch with them a few weeks before the wedding when one supplier we were considering did not come to fruition. but this couple was very easy to talk to, and walang hassle in getting them. we weren't able to get the father & son combo but he gave us another group na just as good. malot even suggested that our other band to play the wedding march bec it will sound nicer. walang primadonna dito.

Allan's childhood friends who performed in our wedding--they played the wedding march and provided wonderful music during the cocktails. Ang ganda nila tignan with their wind instruments. :)

arlyne is very easy to speak with. very mabait, pero kinda reserved. :) she's very honest in her dealings and tells us what is pina and what is not.

allan's barong tagalog will be made out of pina cloth with the embroidery design coming from mandy's dress.

too bad we called her up to order just 2 weeks before so she wasn't able to finish all 1000 pastillas wrappers. but she was able to make some 200 in our names "allan & mandy" and the remaing 200-300 tail designs were a man in a barong, woman in a saya, birds, bahay kubo. ganda talaga!! super.

nice lady too, worried lang sha na baka maloko ng nag-oorder. there have been such orders na they weren't picked up.
